Gippeswyk Singers

                              

                            The name comes from the Anglo-Saxon name for Ipswich.  

Founded in 1972 we are a chamber choir, who perform several concerts each year supporting local  charities.

This season it is Parkinsons UK (Felixstowe Support Group)working for better care,treatments and quality of life and Suffolk Refugee Support (Ipswich) providing advice and support for Asylum seekers and Refugees in Suffolk.

 

We are a friendly group. With about forty members.

 

Under the musical direction of Geoff Lavery rehearsals are at Bantoft  Vestry,St.Augustin’s  Church, Ipswich every Monday at 7:30pm.

 

We are a non audition choir.

 

Our repertoire includes Classical, Madrigals, Carols, Comic, Folk, Spirituals.

 

Our venues while we rehearse at  St Augustine`s Church Ipswich,  we perform at many venues                      throughout Suffolk .
